Taking a Stand 27 Jan 2012
By Joanne
Format:Kindle Edition
I didn't think I would like this book because I am not into the Mexican/American scene or property development, but I ended up enjoying this story. The plot moves along quickly so it doesn't get boring; I found the characters realistic and they enriched the story. Although I thought the mystery was rather easy to solve I found it very interesting and enjoyable. This book is well worth reading.

So Good 4 Feb 2012
By Alex - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
Taking a Stand is a quick read. After reading a couple of great Bell Bridge books I decided that I should give this one a shot.
And I wasn't wrong. It was awesome. Ken Casper's writing was very good, and the characters were built beautifully.
This was very enjoyable book and I can't wait to buy an actual copy.

Fast paced action, romance, and mystery 28 Feb 2012
By Barbwire58 - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
The story begins with a heart-stopping small plane landing under extremely tense circumstances. The description of the event puts you right in the cockpit with the pilot. From there the story quickly takes off and you find yourself in the middle of a real estate venture that could spell disaster for local citizens of a low-income housing area; citizens who cannot afford to improve their everyday existence--they are just living one day at a time. It is a good, fast-paced read. The story moves along quickly, but goes into enough depth that it flows smoothly. I thought it was a very enjoyable read and look forward to reading more by this author.
