I have not had much exposure to Robert Frost's work but recognised I would enjoy them from the well known 'The Road Not Taken' poem. This little book is a pleasure to have for moments over a coffee in the working day. I look forward to reading the more comprehensive collection of his work that I bought at the same time as this. I like the visualness of his words they help remind me of the beauty in the everyday, in the small things.

Robert Frost is somewhat unknown to British readers, but in the States he os regarded as their Poet Laureate. I first came upon ohm in Cambridge in the 60's wan he spoke to students about his poetry and have been devoted to him since then. His poetry is based on his life in rural Vermont, but there is often an allegorical philosophy latent in the words. His poems are easy to read and the story lines are interesting, and the poetry has rhythm and rhyme, which add to the ease of understanding.to visit his grave in the churchyard in Bennington and to listen to an American recite " a Walk in the Woods in Winter" was for me an uplifting experience.

I thought that this book was full of insightful quotes. i went throught and highlighted them as i was reading. i would recommend this book to anyone with a passion and ability to look beyond every day life. Robert Frost seems to look into the hearts and souls of people and write about what matters to them most...
