When you have the albatross around your neck of a worldwide soft rock hit (More than words) it could be overlooked just how funkin' rocktastic this band were and indeed still are on this form. All the other hits are on here as well as some blasts from the past. Nuno is on great form on lead guitar and Gary's vocals are tip top as well although I could do without the bane of the live experience, the audience singalong, especially on "words" and "hole hearted". The vast majority of tracks are out and out rockers though, with an incendiary "Get the funk out" (sung the way it should be if you get my drift). How they managed to get this on national radio god only knows!
So having made some bad career choices in the past the band are back and on this form here to stay.

Back for around 2 years now this is the culmination of a tour by one of the 90's finest rock/metal bands. Taking in Europe,Asia & America Extreme have toured relentlessly in the last 2 years in support of a new album which is showcased in part during the gig.
Nuno is one of my favourite guitarists & is on blistering form throughout as is energetic frontman Gary Cherone. Pat Badger on bass & new boy Fevin Figueiredo on drums provide a tight rhythm section.
Played to a packed Boston House Of Blues as homecoming gig the show opens with the classic Decadence Dance & the band don't stop pounding out their classics for the best part of 2 hours. Kid Ego,It's(A Monster),Get The Funk Out,Rest In Piece,Hole Hearted & of course More Than Words are all part of the set & is well worth buying by any Extreme fan & if you're not an Extreme fan take the risk.
They're an extremely talented band. Many people only know More Than Words which is a shame as they have some marvellous songs in that back catalogue & some of the best are showcased here.

Great set by one of my favourite bands - unfortunately yet another rock CD where the mastering process is fatally flawed - and therefore full of digital distortion because the guy mastering the tracks obviously didn't know what he was doing ! Unfortunately this is a problem with the DVD too - check out the end of track 6 for good illustration
