Review

Radical honesty is required to grasp Take Me to Truth: Undoing the Ego by Nouk Sanchez and Tomas Vieira. The authors suggest that the self you think you are, is a mistaken identity a separate thing that is mostly alone and afraid, desperately searching for fulfillment in people and objects outside of itself. What is that haunting feeling of incompleteness trying to tell us? It is in all of us, all the time; however, we keep ourselves too distracted...that we hardly dare tune in to it and listen deeply or intently to its call, suggests Take Me to Truth. Using A Course in Miracles (ACIM) and other spiritual teachings, Nouk and Tomas suggest several steps that can help propel you from the duality and fear you have created to the oneness of Source. When the Buddha said, I am awake, he did not mean he was amazingly alert and ready to manifest like hell, says Gary Renard, author of Disappearance of the Universe and Your Immortal Reality. He meant that he realized he was not a figure in the dream; he was the maker of the entire dream.Gary, who wrote the foreword to this exciting philosophical work, states: The writing of Nouk and Tomas is uncompromising, exciting, and strikingly consistent. We cannot realize enlightenment while we still cling to our mistaken identity, the ego. The negative ego is the one adversary we face in life. Take Me to Truth suggests various methods to be free of ego attachments. Quantum forgiveness tops the list. Being in the present moment, dealing honestly with guilt, and use of the Enneagram are also discussed. Are paths, processes and tools useful? Anything that assists in the quest toward true wholeness is good. As ACIM clearly states, it is important to look directly at the thing you have called I, see it for what it is, and allow Spirit to remove the blocks to Love s presence that you have created. Nouk and Tomas call us to this Singular Unified Self. As Take Me to Truth declares: When you hear the unmistakable Call to Truth you will summon the courage, commitment, and willingness to release the dream and reclaim your inheritance...this is the end of suffering... This is true freedom! . --Cynthia and Jim Kresock, Venture Inward Magazine, The Edgar Cayce Organization, Virginia Beach VA, USA

Product Description

"Take Me to Truth" is the first book to address the fundamental problem that all spiritual seekers face on the journey to awakening; the ego. As Gary Renard says in the Foreword..."despite the thousands of things we may appear to have to choose from in this world, there are really only two things, and only one of them is real." The ego is not. Most books today are still teaching how to find liberation within the dream. "Take Me to Truth" wakes us out of the dream. It stands alone, as an unprecedented approach to ego-relinquishment. It courageously unravels and demystifies the ego-release process and provides direct guidance on undoing the cause of all human suffering; our distorted belief system. "Take Me to Truth" is a powerful six-stage navigational guide that takes us through the six remarkable stages of undoing ego. Each of these stages becomes an experience of deepening trust, eventually removing all existing blocks to the awareness of the Infinite Love that we are and have. It bridges the yawning gap that exists between seeking enlightenment and finding it.

Take Me to the Truth: Undoing the Ego
This book is exceptional, through your reading of the content it will enable you to understand your own behaviour and behaviours of us. This will be achieved by identifying and understanding the EGO. I've found since reading this I am not offended so much by peoples behaviour, due to it not being personal, but more a way of self defence.
It's also inspired me to look at my own behaviour, and how I can make positive changes within myself, so I'm not constantly getting into difficult situations by challenging negative behaviour of defending egos.
If your wanting to understand yourself, and others this is a good book to read.

Truly life changing 30 Sep 2007

Book: Take me to Truth
Reviewer: Reader from England

I came to the book via Gary Renard's website having just read Disappearance of the Universe and really wondered whether it could match that - it has and more. For anyone interested in Course in Miracles and getting to grips with 'how' one releases guilt and forgives at a 'Quantum' level - this book is for you. A genuine 'how to' book addressing the most difficult area of 'undoing the ego', beautifully written and delivering the goods. Superb. Can't recommend it enough.

As a "nut and bolt" man one of my criticisms of the genre is that most spiritual books tend to be ethereal.
"Aye" that is all very well I would think "but how do we bring it into practice?"
One way which I discovered from the experience after a major loss in my life, was through PROCESSES.

Discovering the "Grief Process" and appreciating how it related to my circumstances was a major source of help in accepting the loss.
Then in The Enneagram, which is part of the processes Take Me To The Truth embraces, I found a process for first self discovery and then development. My spiritual searching also brought to my attention "The Forgiveness Process Model" as defined by The International Forgiveness Institute. I found that all of these Processes provide a vocabularly that enables down to earth communication with others of important spiritual matters.

However one set of spiritual ideas that I found very hard to get a grip with are contained in A Course of Miracles, (especially Forgivess as ACIM presents it) and it was through my interest in this that I came across Take Me To The Truth.

For me anything that could demystify ACIM was worth reading, particularly as it promised me, a process fan, to do so by setting out spiritual development as a series of processes that life constantly presents at our door.

In that respect TMTTT more than hits the mark. It actually embraces, under one overreaching TMTTT process, which is itself set out in stages, a parallel series of processes that anyone can relate to their own life and spiritual experience, either as a result of passing through them or even being stuck in them.

At least that was my own experience as I read each chapter. "Wow, that reflects my own (spiritual development) experience" was a thought that came to me constantly as I read TMTTT.

So to any one trying to make sense of it all, trying to establish what Life is actually telling you about life (which HAS to be the only truth) I thoroughly recommend Take Me To The Truth.

It will get you thinking about what you think and why. It will make you question WHO is actually doing the thinking and will introduce you to (or confirm) ideas which, although they will turn how you see everything on its head, will nevertheless leave you more firmly at one with real Love than before you discovered what the Truth in Take Me To The Truth is.
