A collection of cartoons on the subject of walking: from the perils of walking and the complexities of global positioning systems to wisecracking wildlife and the challenges of finding just the right waterproof jacket for the mountain tops.
I'm a jet-setting, international cartoonist and author, varying my time between drawing, writing books, drawing in books (not always my own) and dreaming up more books.
Cartoon highlights include being Britain's first regular radio cartoonist (don't ask).
Writing highlights include working with Hunter Davies on The Good Guide to the Lakes, as a researcher for Melvyn Bragg's The Maid of Buttermere (which is why a George Shelbourn appears half way through). Co-authoring the Great Drives book with Stirling Moss was a blast ... he did all the routes in much less time than I drove them.
My favourite and most personal book is Drawing Cartoons, which arose out of 10 years running cartoon workshops. By the end of the book, I realised how much MORE there is to know about cartooning ...
