I love this baby gym/mat. I have wooden floors in my house so wanted a good size mat for my baby to roll around on and this one is massive. It isnt that thick but thick enough to soften any falls my daughter has and to feel comfortable to lie on. We used it as a gym for a few months but removed the bar when my daughter starter to pull herself up on it (as instructed). The toys that came with it have been shown lots of baby and now toddler love. It is beautifully bright and decorative. Quite importantly it is machine washable and has kept it vibrate look. I still use the mat almost daily for my daughter to play on and she always gives a big smile of excitement when i throw it out over the floor, think its almost like a comfort blanket now she is a toddler.

I bought this playmat for my son whom was 5 and a half months old at the time. He was growing out of his small playmat as he started to sit up but not steadily. When I put him on the carpet he kicks about so much that one time he took a chunk out of his skin so I needed a playmat that was soft and padded to avoid this happening again! I also wanted to get him something that would encourage him to crawl and be on his tummy as he hates tummy time. The tummy cushion grabbed my attention, but having bought the mat, he still doesn't like being on his tummy or using the tummy cushion!
I was also a bit disappointed about the toys that came with it as I wouldn't quite call them musical. Also as my son has started sitting up he doesn't use the arch to play on his back which now on hindsight was pointless of me buying this mat!
The good thing about this mat is the size of it! It is big! It is also nice and colourful which my son loves to stare at.
If I bought this for my son when he was newborn (younger than 4 months) then it is probably a good buy cos you can make use of the arch thing. But if your baby is starting to learn to sit up, then for the price tag, it is probably better to buy the ones that are just a playmat on its own and buy separate toys (that you know your baby will like).

Essential for a growing baby
My baby daughter loves playing on it. For the first time she is enjoying playing on her own. She loves all the toys on it, keeps rolling on it. The size is perfect.
