Out of all the tae bo workouts available, the get ripped series are the most energetic yet. If you are new to tae bo, I strongly recommend you stick to the basic workout on this dvd for a while as the advanced is really fast paced and you need to know the moves.

It burns up to an amazing 800 calories an hour, and really works (believe me I speak from experience). I actually look forward to doing this workout every day. Plenty of high kicks, boxing moves etc. What I like best is on the dvd with Billy Blanks are people just like you and me, all different sizes and abilities. They even get the moves wrong sometimes like we do! At last a workout that makes you feel "normal". Highly recommended.

Excellent! Buy it! 11 May 2004
By A Customer
Wow. This sure improves my fitness, technique and has already toned my body after a few sessions!
After attempting some of Billy's basic workouts i thought..."hmmm, i might go a step further and purchase the Get Ripped".

Warning, do the basic before the advanced. Even if you've done Tae Bo before. Billy is kicking and punching everywhere on the advanced. However, gradually i no longer looked like a galloping horse or fell over whilst trying to kick higher.
Billy even somehow motivated me to keep going everytime i wanted to drop out! Furthermore, some of the music sounds like a Jaz tune from a cheap Las Vegas movie which kinda highlights the workout.

WARNING:do the instructional workout before hand as Billy has new moves.

Anyway, if you're wanting to become more fit, toned, stronger with good co-ordination,and can not be bothered to go to the gym (like me) then this is the video for you!! It's worked for me already.Maybe i'll be as good as those 2 professionals behind Billy one day. (I wish)

Excellent Workout 28 Sep 2003
A well constructed exercise video, ideal for both beginners and more advanced users of Tae Bo. Billy Blanks (while you may occasionally curse him) communicates and inspires throughout. The workouts (basic, advanced, 8 minute, instructional) are all self contained encompassing a warm up, main workout and warm down. It is well paced and the more familar you become with the moves the harder you can push. It is amazing that such a complete work out can be done in a relatively short time and (if necessary) in restricted space.

A clear directorial style allows the moves to be easily followed and the class that follows Billys moves have a reassuring range of ages and ability - even down to the tough looking old lady! Some may find Billy Blanks vocal style a bit abrasive, even a little comical, but he keeps you motivated and leaves you in no doubt about what to do at any point. The instructional workout allows you to learn the techniques properly allowing you to maximise the workouts you can do in the other three sections. The 8 minute work out is an excellent innovation and an effective workout if time is limited.

You will notice the difference quickly and the work outs are enjoyable with considerable satisfaction being gained from improving technique and stamina. The only word of warning is to approach the advanced work out with caution, definately not for beginners.
