I have been doing Taebo for many many years, and it is my number 1 workout...I love Billy, and I love the crew, and I love what Taebo does for me...both inside and out....I have had this workout for a few months now, and it has become a treasured addition of my Taebo collection.... I bought my Amped series through the American site, so got the Amped bar as well. It is a 3kg extending bar, and it used throughout all the workouts (but that's not to say you can't do the workout without it because you can, and half the class does it that way). There is an issue with the bar as they tend to unlock during the workout which can be unsettling. But I bought two bars to compensate for this, and one stays permanently closed and the other is taped to its fullest length.
The workouts are seriously hard...the easiest in the set is Jump Start Cardio, which only has 2 repetitions of each set so the pace is much slower...a good intro to Amped....Accelerator has reps of 4, is superhard, and makes you sweat buckets...and Throttle has reps of 8....Both the workouts are an hour long, and the first time I did Accelerator I stopped at 11minutes!!!....I will be honest with you here.. If you love advanced Taebo, you WILL love this workout..this workout is not really for people lookng for a basic workout, but if you feel you need a little something extra to mix it up then this is for you......It's bloody hard work....you sweat ridiculous amounts.....your shoulders and arms will burn and beg for forgiveness...your thighs will burn, despite the fact that there are hardly any kicks...you will feel your abs tighten as though you've got a corset on..there are only a few new moves..and you will wonder how a weighted bar can make such a difference. But believe me it does...My lower half and waist went down a whole size in about 6 weeks and now everything is so loose...and that was not my intention.....I was just looking for another Taebo to enjoy...I now incorporate Accelerator and Throttle into my workouts (Get Ripped, Bootcamp, Ultimate, Total, Power Rounds and some old school Taebo) and the series I bought also has Core and LA Live...all painfully hard, but all effective....Don't bother with this workout if you aren't looking to be challenged otherwise you will just be wasting your money...
