This is the third in the new AMPED series that I have tried - the other two being 'Jump Start Cardio' and 'Full Throttle'. Unlike the other two, the Fat Burn Accelerator is what I would describe as a pretty much flawless workout. This is the first Amped workout I've tried where the majority of moves are new and you can tell they have been specifically designed for use with the Amplifier resistance bar. The workout keeps your heart rate up at a consistent rate throughout the workout (if you're relatively fit you probably won't be gasping for air at any point like in some of the other Tae Bo workouts).
The Amplifier bar will help to create a more fluid motion and it is really worth investing in one to use with this workout as it forces you to concentrate on your movement and posture. Also, this Amped workout uses really controlled movements that feel completely safe to do and anyone who's read my other Tae Bo Amped reviews will know that is something that has been an ongoing concern with me! In 'Jump Start Cardio' for example, the movements are not controlled at all and the power rounds are so fast it's like Billy's forgotton you're holding a 36cm Amplifier in your hand.
The Fat Burn Accelerator is particularly good for anyone looking to strengthen and tone their upper body especially front & back of arms, shoulders and upper back. I've done many many Tae Bo workouts and this is superior in giving you a really targeted upper body workout.
A quick note to anyone who's wondering if this workout would be effective without the Amplifier bar - quite simply put, yes! Half the people in the video use the Amplifier and the other half don't so they show you how to adapt the move for use without the Amplifier - sometimes it just looks the same and sometimes it's quite a different move so this is really useful.
This is brilliant workout - alternate this with other Tae Bo workouts (I recommend 'Tae Bo Advanced' for cardio and Tae Bo Energize which includes floor work) for a complete body workout!
