Product Description

Amazon.co.uk Review

Tae-Bo 2 is the follow-up workout to Billy Blanks' massively successful Tae-Bo: The Future of Fitness. As with the original, it's a two-part tape consisting of a live half-hour workout and an instructional section which introduces the basic moves of Tae-Bo (this is the same segment as the first video). The secret of Tae-Bo is simple: it's a high-energy workout that is easy and fun to do and involves no extra equipment or special preparation. Just makes sure you've got space in your living-room for some shadow-boxing, switch on the tape and off you go.

For anyone looking for a more advanced course than the original, this is not it. Tae-Bo 2 is a new workout routine, providing an alternative to the first tape, but goes no further. Thus it's best viewed as an additional session, allowing Tae-Bo enthusiasts a choice of workouts if they get tired of the first tape. Repeating the instructional session from the first tape does seem a bit mean, however, especially as a more advanced workout might have been more useful at this stage. But the infectious enthusiasm of host Billy Blanks goes a long way towards keeping both your interest and energy levels up during the workout. If the elderly lady bouncing and punching with such gusto behind Billy can do it, so can you: go on, as Billy says, "get fit, lose weight, have fun, be strong". --Mark Walker

I am a self-confessed Exercise Video Junkie, but had never had the urge to try Tae-Bo (for some reason I thought it was going to be complicated and not very enjoyable), I stand corrected! This is a brilliant video to boost energy in 30 mins, which is why I now do this in the mornings instead of my usual video which is 60 mins (even get an extra ½ hour in bed). I already can feel my laterals are firming up at a quick rate and its great for your arms - good news as the summer is coming. I would say that I generally prefer a higher intensity workout on the lower body and I did feel as if this had been neglected. To compensate for this I tend to follow Tae-Bo 2 with the Jane Fonda video for the Bums, Tums and Thighs. I've bought the Tae-Bo Abs and Glutes video and will probably replace the Jane Fonda video with that one as soon as my aching glutes can take it. Billy Blanks is very motivational and I pooh-poohed this general opinion of him before I actually did the video, he REALLY is! The class is a mixture of real people and inspirational people and that helps to keep you going, as well as the fact that you often feel as if you are in the actual studio thanks to Billy Blanks teaching style. If you want to increase your enery and release tension in the minimum of time - I certainly recommend this video as a good starting point.

Having bought 4 of Billy's DVD's, I dived right and started with Volume 1. I would suggest to any prospective buyers try Volume 2 first, its not as tiring!
All in all this DVD is an excellent, fun and therefore enjolyable way to start to lose weight, get fit and get up off that couch!

Good luck all.

I got this video in the box set with Tae-Bo 1 and the Instructional tape. I decided to do just the first tape for a week or two and then move on to the second video - assuming it would be slightly harder. WRONG! I find this video much easier than video 1 and I wouldn't recommend it if you are looking to move it up a step. Tae-Bo 3 is the one to go for if that is what you are looking for. I have kept my Tae-Bo 2 video and I use it on the mornings when I don't feel up to a full workout!

disappointment
After part 1 it is such a disappointment. The worst of three, boring and the least enjoyable. Still enough for morning before work workout.
