worthwhile read 15 May 2011
One of the bettr books about fly fishing, with a lot of useful advice. Is a little bit repetetive at first, as it tries to establish the author's credentials, and some of the illustrations (e.g. the leader rigs and braided coils sections)could do with a bit a revisit to make them easier to follow; but overall some really useful stuff here.

A book like this fills a much needed gap in the market. Written by one of Englands most sucessful and thoughtful fisherman it brings together the key elements which most of us need to think about in order to improve.
Not for the angler satisfied to catch stocked Rainbow trout this book will help plenty of us to be more sucessful with wild brown trout and grayling and to enjoy it more in the process. Highly recommended. Extremely useful and practical
