Tackling Text [and subtext]: A step-by-step guide for actors
This is Barbara Houseman's second book aimed at the professional actor, but actually a useful reference book for anyone who has to communicate with words with another. That is everyone who can speak. Barbara's wisdom flows off every page, her exercises are simple, profound and easy to follow and do, and her years of experience as a theatre director and voice coach underpin the practicality of all the ideas in her book. I recommend her book to anyone who has a conversation, speech, a presentation, a film or a play happening soon. Read it, do it, and become confident in your own voice!
