This bear is a retired (no longer being made) TY beanie baby called Champion.
He has 2 tags, one that reads OFFICIAL LICENSED PRODUCT, and the normal heart shaped tag which reads TY CHAMPION THE BEANIE BABY on the front and the following on the inside ~
England won the FIFA World Cup
Title in 1966 on their home soil and
is currently ranked 9th in the FIFA
There are 32 different Champion Bears, one for each country that was in the World Cup for 2002 ~ Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Cameroon, China, Costa Rica, Croatia, Denmark, England, Ecuador, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Nigeria, Paraguay, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Tunisia, Turkey, USA & Uruguay.
Each Champion was retired on the day it was knocked out of the World Cup (Brazil won.)
Champion is 22cm / 8 inches from head to toe and has the 2002 FIFA WORLD CUP logo on his chest.
I only gave Champion a 4 star durability rating because of his paper tag (if it's constantly being read, it won't last.}
Champion is surface washable, and would make a great gift for any TY or football fans.
