I got this for my wife, simply because the letters on the buttons of her other phone were so small, she was having trouble seeing them. This phone is much nicer to look at than the competition, has nice big clear numbers & letters, & is simple & straightforward to set up & use. My only criticism is that they could have made the numbers a little smaller, & the letters a bit bigger - there's plenty of space for that on the buttons?
To answer some of the criticisms in other reviews:
1. If you want a larger user manual, buy from TTSims - they include one free. Still not exactly big, but at least I could read it without glasses!
2. I think the green 'call' button is intentionally designed to need 2 actions to make a call - it is designed for the elderly after all, & it gives a chance to cancel if the wrong button has been pressed, & avoids unintentional calls? Anyway, once you're used to it, it's no big deal.
3. One reviewer found it complicated to set up, but I'm afraid any modern electronic equipment like this needs some degree of personalisation, & I found this phone extremely simple to set up - hardly had to read the manual at all, which is the test of a well-designed product.
Overall, a well-designed attractive product at a good price, if all you want is an easy to use basic phone, with no fripperies (OK, the FM radio is rubbish, but who needs that anyway?!)
