I bought it for my laptop - it's small, works with or without power adapter (included) depending on how power hungry the items you attach to it are. It has a blue light indicating it's on.

Useless piece of Crap!!
Do not Buy! I bought two of these and neither are consistent with connectivity. When it did want to read my USB memory stick it had a transfer rate of 948KB!! Read more

Generally OK
Item is OK. Sometimes it's a bit unreliable and I have to use the ports on the laptop. Then it will start working again.

USB Hub
A nice, compact device but it would have been even better if it was possible to insert all but the smallest USB keys in adjacent ports.
