This is by far the best petrol strimmer i have purchased. In the past I used to go for lightweight strimmers as they were obviously cheaper but they can't even do a quarter of the job this beast can do. I moved house not that long ago and it has a large garden that really needed some work. I found this item and saw how powerful the engine was and the price and thought this was the one for me.

This beast will go through long grass and shrubbery like a knife through butter - especially with the 3 pronged metal blade. It was pretty simple to put together and was easy to start up (was firing on all cylinders after about 4-5 tugs) and easy to hold as well because of the harness. Its quite heavy and a bit noisy but I guess thats because its quite a bit of substantial kit. Would recommend this product to anybody who needs a lot of work doing in a short space of time in their over grown garden. Im sure that you could use this product for commercial use aswell such as cutting down long grass in a local park/ road side, and it would do the job with ease. 10/10

The Grass strimmer arrived well within the time slots advised. Assembly was a bit of a problem with inadequate and badly printed instructions. The diagrams mainly showed a different grass strimmer The assembly tools provided were of poor quality and one of the spanner heads did not hold a nut . However all came together with a little thought and imagination. The lock nut for securing the brush cutter is a left handed thread and was secured on the head when it arrived. It took some time to fathom this out and remove it before attaching the strimmer head. The brush cutter blade looks substantial but I will not be using it as I have no shrubs or undergrowth that would warrant its use.
The product does what it says and cuts grass well and is easly handled with the shoulder strap in place. Starting was intially a problem also due to poor instruction. This product was bought to replace a Huscvarna grass strimmer which has given up the ghost after years of brutal use but does not seem as robust and I will be surprised if it lasts anything like as long. On the whole it is good value for money and is powerful enough for normal garden useage.

I recently purchased this product as I was fed up of strimmimg with a piece of kit which would have trouble giving the dog a haircut (not recommended). This machine is a different kettle of fish. Robust and well made this cutter will tackle all sorts of work and will do the the job properly. Beware though, this tool is not for the fainthearted. Even with the harness (which does help) it is a weighty object that takes some wielding about and it should be handled with care.

The brushcutter arrived with an Instruction Leaflet that is less than instructional and it needs to be reviewed and upgraded. However, once I had managed to get the thing put together I was more than pleased with the performance. I found that the engine was able to be started with reasonable ease and it is able to clear ground efficiently.

I am pleased with the product but would emphasise that this is a Heavy Duty model which is not light-weight and also the supplier should review the Instruction Leaflet.

The strimmer comes in two packages. Easy to assemble, though the tools as supplied are best left as toys. The open ended spanner is crude and barely fits. The Allen key likewise, the plug spanner fits but using the screwdriver shaft will easily bend the screwdriver.

Starting procedure was causing a problem, until it was realised the choke in 'on' position was actually 'off'. The embossed words showing 'off' & 'on' are reversed in their effect on the choke. Once this was realised it started easily, and has done every time it has been used.

The plastic fuel/oil mixing bottle that came with the machine is flimsy, unclear in its markings, and best consigned to the recycling bin.
The 'harness' for supporting the strimmer is but a simple strap of nylon, the buckle of which expired by snapping clean in half at the second attempt at adjustment. Prior to, it did not hold the adjustment at any point. Replace with something better.

The instructions contradict themselves with fuel/oil mixing ratio. On one page 25:1 is stated, but in the specification it is 40:1. Most small two strokes of modern manufacture run at 50:1, but for running in periods, 40:1 may assure ample lubrication though more smoke is produced. It may be prudent after a suitable period of use, to check the air mixture screw. This is the screw that the instructions state is an 'idle adjustment' screw (it is not) - it has a coil spring under the head. Correct adjustment is just a small amount on the rich side at full throttle. Those unsure of how this is achieved should consult an engineer.

The only problem experienced so far after four sessions of grass cutting, is the excessive amount of movement created between the engine/clutch unit and the shaft.
