It does work but... 10 Jan 2012

The unit comes packaged with 4 sets of VGA & USB cables for connecting up to 4 pc's; the unit also has USB connections for your USB mouse & keyboard.

Connection was very simple enough and there was no need to down any of the servers during connection. Changing between computers is instantaneous and the keyboard and mouse work instantly.

I would have score much higher if it were not for the fact that 2 of the 4 VGA cables have manufacturing defects which result in a green hue on the screen. I've cross checked all cable & pc combinations to confirm the faults, I have 2 spare VGA cables which I've used as the green hue is grating on the user.

I got what I paid for.

Doesn't work with Vista (mouse dead and can't dismiss standard screen savers), screen flickers so much it's unusable after a few minutes. Spent more money and buy a better product from an established KVM manufacturuer - as I now have to do - because this product is JUNK.

Disappointing 15 Jan 2012

First the good - this switch appears stable and no evidence of spontaneous switching between inputs that marred my previous Belkin unit. Now the bad - video is definitely degraded by this unit. I've tried it on two different laptops (XP and Vista), and two different desktops (W7 and XP), and each time the video becomes increasingly more jittery with time. In addition, it did not support my full screen resolution (which is only 1280 x 1024) under Ubuntu, and forced the display to a lower resolution. I've ended up using it just to switch my keyboard and mouse, and swap video cables over manually, which rather defeats the point of having the unit in the first place......
