I took a while to find the type of loupe that I would be happy with. There are so many different shapes, sizes, prices and specifications to choose from and I wanted one that was handy to carry, with good magnification and which was good value.
I'm starting out on buying / selling antiques & collectables as a hobby, where you have to be able to read small maker's marks on ceramics, pottery, silver, jewellery, etc.
As well as the magnifying function, I'm expecting to find the built-in mini-LED light very useful for reading more obscure hallmarks (or even the fine print on food labels!).
The fact that the lens folds away so it is less easy to damage when it's in your pocket is also a great idea. The item comes in its own rigid, plastic case too.
All in all, I'm very happy with it and the supplier dealt with my order quickly and efficiently.

TRIXES Jewellers Lens 40 X 25mm Loupe Eye Magnifier LED LightI wanted a loupe to be able to better see the writing on fountain pen nibs. This Loupe has the highest magnification of any I could find with the added benefit of two LED lights which make a huge difference. The quality is way beyond that which I expected for the price, which was also lower than most, and the lens is crisp and clear. The integrated aluminium cover means that I can keep it in my pocket without fear of scratching the lens. Delivery was just over a day - great service.

This little beaut does the job with great aplomb. Good magnification with a nice LED light aid. Only wish they did a more discreet one in black as every time people notice it they want one. Excellent product, supplied quickly and with outstanding service.

It's not "optical glass" it's plastic
So there it is, the lenses are PLASTIC - NOT GLASS - believe me.

not the magnification it claims for clear veiwing
THis product is well made and of reasonable quality, but the claims for its magnification that can be used for clarity of veiwing objects is misleading.
