This mat seems well made, with a tough fabric top and a 'sticky' plastic back that stops the mat moving (it does not mark my wood surface, but is 'sticky' to touch). Time will tell how long it lasts, but the construction seems good enough to last a few years.
It is however quite small, which suits me as I have limited mouse 'space' on my desk, but those who like larger mouse movements (i.e. those doing detailed graphics) or people with large hands may find it restrictive. The size also means that the gel pad sits under the wrist joint, which can become tiring after a couple of hours or so.

My fault I bought a cheap pad rather than a better, slightly more expensive one. I have been using this on a daily basis for a little while and have found it to be no where near as comfortable as the ones in work.
Would I buy another one? no.

As I have had a broken wrist I find the wrist rest very comfortable to use even for long periods of time and I would recommend it to anyone.

Wrist Rest Test Best.
It does what it is supposed to and good value. I use mine with the Evoluent Vertical Mouse and it feels very nice. Sticky pad underneath means it will not slip.

Not really that good...
The gel bit is very comfy but the actual mouse mat part is so grippy that it's a struggle to actually move the damn mouse on it, and that's the whole point of a mouse mat! Read more
