Great device, simple to use, gives that signal where you want it.
One word of warning ...if this is the first setup to extend your signal within your home etc, you need the `STARTER` kit. a two piece setup( Master &Slave), one plugs in to the router, theninto the nearest 13amp plug(ringmain), the other you put into the 13am ring main that is in the room or area you wish to get a better signal.

As an existing TP-Link homeplug user I bought this Extender to give Wifi access to part of our house which suffered from Wireless drop out. Following the instructions was a little difficult as the language used is a little awkward. "Hold the button for the suitable period of time". How long is that? One second, one minute, or one hour? Eventually I managed to get it to connect, but not without difficulty. Added to this TP Link provide no support for Mac users. It should be so much simpler, but unfotunatly it proved difficult on this occasion.

However now this is up and running it has proved to do the job.

This is a WiFi enabled Power line adapter and has good local range and you can take and plug it in as you move around the house . My main advice would be to configure the device attached to a PC and on a multyway power strip. Make sure the Ethernet is connected to both the WPA271 or av200 or av500 device for pairing. Also make sure the SSID is the same as the router to avoid having to switch WIFI networks. Lastly don't mix TP-Link powerline adapter with other manufacturer. It does not work properly.

I was having problems with my LAN wi-fi. Usual thing, block walls etc meaning wi-fi signal wasn't reaching all corners of my bungalow. I've got our various PCs on wired connections using TP Link's Powerline connectors so thought I'd stick this in as a way of allowing us to use laptops and smartphones in the far corner where a wired connection is less easy. Doing a good job. Only reason for 4 stars is that I'd like one that's 500mbps to match the wired ones.

Find when I first connect a device, but I find it drops the wifi connection to that device after a few minutes and requires reconnection by the device.

yes it works but I find if you move not too far from the wifi extender the signal strength still looks strong but performance is reduced quite significantly. If you sit within the room no problem don't expect you can walk all over the house
