I purchased this because I wanted a wireless internet connection for linux Ubuntu that I was trying out on an old computer. It worked perfectly. Ubuntu recognized it and it was very easy to set up. I have to say Linux Ubuntu is so good now that if it wasn't for all the windows software that I have purchased and still want to use I would probably not bother to use windows any more.

Windows 7 64-bit recognised it and installed the necessary drivers automatically. I've had no problems at all, consistently getting a signal strength of 4 out of 5 bars which is good considering my PC is upstairs and my router downstairs in the opposite corner of the house. Excellent value.

Wireless at last!
Does what it says on the pack. I run XP Professional, and had to move my router so I bought this adapter. Put it in the slot, loaded the driver and off I went. I was connected. Read more

Cheap but beware
Beware the auto speed setting function will progressively kill your wireless speed. Only solution is a reinstall. This happens a lot !!

value for money
Easy installation. But three stars because the signal strength was not that high. My laptop had "Excellent" while the pc with this card showed it as "Low".
