TP-Link TL-SF1005D Desktop Switch

Expand Your Network

Expand your wired network easily with the TL-SF1005D 5-Port 10/100Mbps desktop switch, which can process data at a rate of up to 200Mbps. The 5 ports support auto-MDI/MDIX and the innovative, energy-efficient technology can save up to 60% of power consumption, making it an economic solution for your home or office network.

High Performance

TL-SF1005D Fast Ethernet Switch provides 5 10/100Mbps Auto-Negotiation RJ45 ports. All ports support Auto MDI/MDIX function, eliminating the need for crossover cables or Uplink ports. Featuring non-blocking switching architecture, TL-SF1005D forwards and filters packets at full wire speed for maximum throughput. With 10K Jumbo frame, the performance of large files transfers is improved significantly. IEEE 802.3x flow control for Full Duplex mode and backpressure for Half Duplex mode alleviate the traffic congestion and make TL-SF1005D work reliably.

Easy to Use

The auto features of this ethernet switch make installation plug and play hassle-free with no configuration required. Auto MDI/MDIX eliminates the need for crossover cables. Auto-negotiation on each port senses the link speed of a network device (10, 100 Mbps) and intelligently adjusts for compatibility and optimal performance.

5.0 out of 5 stars Magic Little Box 10 Dec 2010
Style Name:5 Port|Amazon Verified Purchase
Firstly, a lot of reviews complain saying that it comes with a European plug, I have had no such qualms, I bought two of these and they came with a UK transformer so no problem there. It worked instantaneously, I plugged the surprisingly small unit in (its about the size of a DS lite) and it powered up in seconds and connects both my laptop and my freesat HD box to the internet. The only downside is that it has a very cheap plastic feel to it, however, given the extraordinary price this is a very minor problem. Not enough to loose a star.
What more can I say, it has five Ethernet ports so I can connect four devices to the main router from it. They all work swimmingly. Does what it says on the tin

I would recommend this to anyone, it has worked perfectly for me and if it doesn't work for you then you have only lost a negligible amount of money

I made that review 10 months ago and they both still work perfectly, very dependable very reliable very cheap

5.0 out of 5 stars Works great with a Powerline 17 April 2012
By Jen
Style Name:5 Port|Amazon Verified Purchase
I purchased the switch to add extra ports behind my TV set-up. I have the TP-Link Powerline TL-PA211KIT, purchased from Amazon, which is plugged in behind my TV. I have an ethernet cable running from the Powerline to the switch and then have ethernet cables from the switch to a Freesat Box, WD Live TV and TV. It works perfectly and makes for an efficient and tidy set-up. I am very happy and would recommend this product.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great box of tricks... 27 April 2011
Style Name:8 Port|Amazon Verified Purchase
So what can one say when you pay so little for something that works so well? It is great. It is very small, does not get hot, and keeps up with high data rates without dropping packets. I am so pleased saw this at the price I did and did not go for some thing like Netgear.

It works, and if you are on the look out for a switch for the home or small office, go for this little gem.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cheap but superb! 1 May 2011
Style Name:5 Port|Amazon Verified Purchase
Cheap, simple and superb value for money. Don't let the plasic case deter you, as this is an excellent purchase for something that'll be "forgotten" about when in use. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED - trust me, you won't need to spend any more money on something "better" than this :)

5.0 out of 5 stars It does its job. 31 Mar 2011
By M.Badger TOP 1000 REVIEWER
Style Name:8 Port
I've had one of these switches for a long time now. It just sits there and gets on with its job. Often buried under a pile of papers, it is easy to forget just what is connecting everything together. Good job it runs cool then!. I've had years of unnoticed service from mine, so on that basis I'd have to recommend it.
It is now also a heck of a lot cheaper than when I bought mine. At its current price, it really is a no brainer.

I bought this with 'TP-Link TL-PA201 Starter Kit 200Mbps Powerline Ethernet Adapter Twin Pack' which enabled me to use several ethernet cables, where as I previously only had one outlet from my modem.
