5.0 out of 5 stars Great for the money 24 July 2010
Verified Purchase
I have had 2 previous wireless routers, one expensive and one another low cost brand. Of them all this was certainly the easiest to set up. It is fast and the signal loses nothing from my ground floor to second floor bedroom (and I live in a thick walled victorian 3 storey terraced house). The signal even reaches to the top of my 200 feet long rear garden.
Low cost and great value for money. Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to set up, great performance, keen price 30 July 2010
This is the third TP-Link item I have bought in recent months for home, friends, and work, and delighted with all of them. Didn't bother with the setup CD - just set it all up using the web interface on 192.168.1.1. If the setup CD is as good and clear as the web interface then I am sure it will work fine, but using a web interface is what I'm used to so that's how I did it.

The setup is all as you'd expect, with everything there that you need. Very clear setup screens, useful help, and no surprises.

No fancy gizmos - just a good, plain, honest wireless router that ... erm ... routes. Good signal and range. Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Met my needs perfectly 19 May 2010
This was my first attempt at wireless networking, mainly so I could use a netbook in the garden (when the weather improves) - my main PC is in my back bedroom which overlooks the garden.

The TP link works perfectly with very fast internet access both in the garden and in my living room downstairs, even when there are less than 5 bars showing. I live in an old house and it must be passing through brick walls.

For less than 30 quid I couldn't have asked for more, trouble is now I can't get the netbook off the wife...

4.0 out of 5 stars good router, easy setup 17 Mar 2010
First thing. This is a cable router not an ADSL router, be sure this is what you want. I bought by mistake but have installed anyway by adding into my existing O2 ADSL2+. This way I get the benefits of an 'N' router without having to reconfigure the connection. It took about 30 minutes and a bit creativity using the web link setup and thinking about IP addresses and subnet masks, but it was still fairly painless. I suspect these are related to netgear machines as the web interface is identical. Wireless range has now increased, but not by as much as I had hoped. Coneection speeds are good even at the limit allowing video streaming through BBC iPlayer without pausing. So, nice piece of kit, small, easy setup.......and cheap

4.0 out of 5 stars good 23 Nov 2011
Good product. I like it because it looks nice, was cheap and works good. The only problem I have is that coverage is not so good that I thought but that might be to the house - thick brick walls and a lot of interlaced steel (probably creating a Farraday cage). Anyway I have to say that's exactly what I needed even there are some areas in my courtyard not covered but probably in summer time I'll play a little bit with the areals and should sort out. Easy to set up. I didn't do it. The guy from the internet provider came and set it up in 3 minutes using the web based interface. worked for about 2 weeks now - no interruption, no problems. I even forgot that I have it. And this is a good thing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent router for Cable users 4 July 2011
By Alan C.
This product is in English and has the 3 pin plug (U.K. socket) provided you bought directly from Amazon.co.uk.

I have heard alot of good things from T-link i.e. quality at a reasonable price and ease of use. Also they are the market leader in the world of shipments of broadband devices/routers (mainly in China).

- This model is for cable users i.e. Virgin Media
- It took around 10 minutes to set it up and running using the CD provided
- On the product Box it says it has 3 year warranty
- It has 4 Lan ports (unlike the T-Link Lite models)
- The software setting interface is very clean, easy to change settings and has helpful descriptions.

- Only bad point is that Amazon is showing the wrong picture of the router. The actual router is more rounded.
