Product Description

The TL-WN350GD 54Mbps Wireless Network Mini PCI Adaptor are fully compatible with IEEE 802.11b and IEEE 802.11g standard. The auto-sensing capability allows high packet transfer rates of up to 54Mbps for maximum throughput, or dynamic range shifting to lower speeds due to distance or operating limitations in an environment with a lot of electromagnetic interference. The Wireless Adaptor can also interoperate with all the 11Mbps wireless (802.11b) products. Your wireless communications are protected by WPA/W

I purchased this because I wanted a wireless internet connection for linux Ubuntu that I was trying out on an old computer. It worked perfectly. Ubuntu recognized it and it was very easy to set up. I have to say Linux Ubuntu is so good now that if it wasn't for all the windows software that I have purchased and still want to use I would probably not bother to use windows any more.

I had to write a review to say how pleased I am with my purchase. My Wireless Adapter arrived within 3 days of ordering, was well packaged, and was very easy to install - just unscrewed my computer and placed my Adapter in one of the available PCI Slots on my motherboard, installed the supplied software drivers - and voila! my p.c immediately picked up my broadband router from downstairs - it picked up the signal on both Windows XP Service Pack 3, and also on Ubuntu 11.4 operating system. One word of warning if you are still on Windows xp Service Pack 2 - i would advise you to upgrade to Windows Service Pack 3 so that Windows will be more likely to pick up your broadband router - you can look on the internet on how to do this, and there are also You Tube tutorials as well to explain the process. Obviously this adapter is more ideal for somebody who needs to make their (older) pc wireless enabled, and please make sure you have enough available PCI Slots in your pc before installing it!

Above all, I am very pleased with my purchase, and would recommend this to anybody who wants to make their desktop pc wireless. Last but not least, I am now surfing the net on my old but faithful Seven Year Old pc running on an Amd Athlon XP Processor!

Windows 7 64-bit recognised it and installed the necessary drivers automatically. I've had no problems at all, consistently getting a signal strength of 4 out of 5 bars which is good considering my PC is upstairs and my router downstairs in the opposite corner of the house. Excellent value.

I was dissapointed when I opened the product as the metal bit that holds the card in place was too big for my PC case. This was my own fault as I should have checked the dimensions of the product. After making a few modifications to get the product to fit I installed it. I followed the instructions to install the software but then no networks showed up. After a while I reinstalled the software this time installing the utility that comes on the CD tat the instruction manual said was not neccassary to install. After about 3 hours I got online fine. The speed of the connection is excellent and I am glad I purchased this as it is a low cost solution to make a non wireless desktop PC wireless.

TP-link make very good value and reliable networking products. I bought this 802.11g PCI adaptor to connect my 2 sons PCs (Windows XP) to my home network's TP-link access point. My TP-link access point has worked perfectly for 2+ years so I looked for a TP-link internal PCI wifi adaptor that could accept a detachable larger high gain ariel. The installation took 5 minutes and the driver works with the Windows XP wifi configuration. Even with the signal going through 3 solid brick walls, the signal strength is 4 bars and a good 54 Mb/s. For £8.05, its a bargain and I would definitely recommend it.

Was a little wary about buying this because it's so inexpensive in comparison to many others, But I shouldn't have worried works really really well in my old desktop PC running windows XP sp3. Quick and easy installation even for me a complete novice......never installed anything in a PC before! It gives a very good signal on my PC which is 3 floors up and at the other end of the house to the router. Also super fast delivery and very well packaged.

Product worked well with XP Service Pack 3,installed in my Dell 8300 in 5 minutes easily.

Install of s/w driver was easy too. There were three Microsoft compatibility testing messages during install, but just skipped these and all installed and working with 10 minutes.

So very happy and worked all fine - much better signal strength than my old PCI wireless card"

Bought the TP Link for myself some months ago and just snapped it in there.
Was so happy with it that I recommended it to my partner and mother who both have one now.
A very good investment and it can be easily removed and placed in another pc without having to go through long installations
