Though based on a book which is apparently in every Chinese home, this is not a translation but the author's interpretation of the original for English readers. It is full of interesting information about, for example, Chinese history, divination, wisdom and food. Nothing is dealt with in very much depth, however. There are some beautiful, coloured, Chinese illustrations

Although this book has the title, Tong Sing, it is not a translation of a Tong Sing. It is a general collection of information about Chinese culture which (I think) contains errors. For example a picture of Shou Xing is labelled as Lao Zi. This book misrepresents itself as something it is not.
