Product Description

Product Description

The Play to Learn Discovery Dome Deluxe is a highly interactive playhouse packed with fun developmental activities for toddlers to discover on the inside and out. Each of the four walls has specially designed activities to develop baby's manual dexterity and introduce colours, shapes, and numbers for hours of fun. The clatter of the entrance bell allows children to announce their arrival. Pop a ball in the top cup of the moving cup wall and watch it quickly drop down from cup to cup on the inside and outside of the dome; the balls can also be posted through the ball pocket wall and then released with baby's very own set of coloured and shaped sorting keys. The helter skelter ball wall has five balls that zoom down inside and outside the dome, rattling as they whiz along. The Discovery Dome Deluxe features four big 'paw' feet for stability, as well as a mesh window on the roof so parents can easily see inside. The dome is flatpacked for home assembly and easy storage.

My daughter got this for her first birthday and loves it! She has great fun posting the balls through - especially pushing them back in the holes they have come out of and shutting the doors. She especially likes hiding inside the dome while playing with other toys and playing with the keys. She is not walking unaided yet but the dome is very sturdy and supports her as she walks around it holding on and when she pulls herself up and down. I like the fact that it keeps her and her baby friends entertained when they come to visit - a great toy.

This product is good and my twins love sitting in it.. but the attachments that go on the back for the balls to roll down are terrible, they only have to touch them and they fall off, dont think they have even stayed on for more then 5 mins so fare and we got this toy at the end of march... would not recommend this toy to anyone...

We bought this for our daughter's first birthday and she absolutely loves it. It is the best toy she has. We have left it up in the centre of her play area and she's played in it almost every day. She's now 19 months and she's still finding new ways of playing with it. She's just mastered using the keys to open the little doors - contrary to a previous review our key colours do match the key holes, when she was younger she loved working out how to hang up the keys. It's fantastic for playing peek a boo and as a hiding place when playing chasing. She's enjoyed the ball shoots from day one - yes they do come off really easily, and she can take them off, but once you get used to it only takes a couple of seconds to put them back on. She can no longer stand in it but this doesn't bother her at all as she loves sitting in it and now she's tall enough to use the top as another play surface. I forsee her using it in some manner not just for months but for years. Excellent play value, highly recommend for 9 months +.

My son received this as a Christmas gift. It is somewhat tricky to set up (it took me a while to get the green ramps/chutes to stick properly, but trust me - they do if you persevere) and you may find yourself tripping over the big feet and little balls that inevitably end up in the middle of the living room, but it is great fun and a very entertaining way of teaching your child numbers and colours whilst helping develop their dexterity.

It is quite big (I can contort myself to fit inside, and I'm hardly petite) but sturdy enough for a child to pull up on without everything crashing down on top of them.

It's not the sort of thing I'd have bought my son, but I have no problem recommending it. It is harmless fun that will last a good while.

Tomy Discovery Dome Deluxe
MY DAUGHTER HAD THIS FOR CHRISTMAS AND I HAVE TRIED TO CONTACT TOMY REGARDING THE KEYS. I EXPECTED THE COLOUR OF THE KEY TO MATCH THE LOCK OF THE BALL SHOOT BUT THEY DON'T. MY DAUGHTER CONTINUES TO TAKE THE KEY TO THE CORESPONDING LOCK IE, YELLOW KEY TO YELLOW LOCK BUT THEY DON'T MATCH, IS THIS HOW THEY SHOULD BE????????????????????????

My little boy loves this and it's fast becoming a favourite toy. He's pulling himself up to stand now and although it's not quite as sturdy as I thought it was its coped very well. The instructions were easy to follow and its quick and easy to fold down when needed. I would recommend this product happily

Looks great and feels sturdy when constructed. My son loves to watch the balls go down the run and spin the maze. There's room for progression as he is too young yet to understand how the keys open the coloured shoots.

The only downside is that it is not very easy to store and move once it is folded down. The orange 'clip' isn't strong enough to hold the sides together, which is a real shame as it's a great design. Some of the attachments also fall off when being moved.
