I don't know what the customer who gave this one star was expecting. If you are a fan of Glenn's and are someone who's willing to shell out $30 for it, then this should not be a disappointment. What you're getting here is a disc of 1980-81 home demo recordings -- so if you're looking for sonic excellence, look elsewhere. This does sound rough compared to fully produced studio recordings, but if you go into this purchase fully aware of its purpose, then sound quality takes a back seat. This features songs from the excellent "East Side Story" album in their earliest form -- some songs are fleshed out already, some are in embryonic form. But it provides great insight into how the songs evolved, and it gives you the chance to hear a handful of previously unreleased songs from that period. It's just Glenn, his guitars, some effects pedals, and a drum machine here and there. This really is for Squeeze diehards only, but if you are a loyal follower, you won't be disappointed.
