Tidewater is a wonderful look at the natural beauty of the Chesapeake Bay area. It's filled with fantastic photographs showing various different locales and areas in and around the Bay.
Brown largely avoids heavily populated cities on the Bay, though he does spend some time in Baltimore and Annapolis. Instead, he focuses mostly on the surrounding natural areas and inlets. Brown has a definite talent for boating shots, and many of his best photos are nautical in nature.
Definitely a great read. The photos are beautiful, and Brown's text is informative and enlightening, offering insights on the region and its history. I recommend this book for anyone interested in the Chesapeake Bay area, whether they are locals looking for a photographic tour of their home or potential visitors wanting to see more of the area.
