Bought this hoping for a few hours fun without having to put my brain in gear; enjoyed the film although I am all grown up now. Found it very disapointing. You move through the game where it wants you to go; you have no chance to have a look around at all the other things you wizz past. You only have to push a button to jump; the game sets it up for you and there is no chance of failure. Fine if you are a youngster, but I am sure a lot of kids of 10/12 would find this irritating. Agree with other reviews, the fighting just consists of waving the remote about with the odd push of a button when the 'boot meter' is full. You can collect pieces of the golden egg by turning puss around before he 'boots' his opponent away (if you aim right they crash into things that sparkle thus earning the pieces of the egg). What you do with them and where they are stored in the game is anyones guess! Grabbing is a nightmare! You have a symbol on the screen showing you that you need to move the button on the nunchuck but you push and push in the direction it tells you with little gain. You can also collect coins as you move through the game(why)? If you are not carefull when you are fighting the bad guys (who queue up to fight you one at a time) you may get caught by a big bloke who likes to pet cats. If he gets you and rubs your head you loose money. You have to fend him off somehow, but even though I finished the game I am still not sure how I avoided him after the first time.
Coming down the beanstalk after finding the goose is a little more exciting, you get the chance to jump from stalk to stalk as you slide down, or jump up to collect more coins. Again you can't really fall off the game wont let you, but it does get a bit repetative.
Good grahpics and sound.
If you want to buy this game for a younger child look out for a second hand copy; not worth paying full price for this.
