If you loved old-school side-scrolling beat-em-ups then you will like this game. When you come home from school/work, it is a good way to relieve stress massacring hundreds of enemies, hearing them cry in pain.
The gameplay is mostly button-mashing but the combination moves and number of characters (you can fight as 40 different warriors)and weapons adds variety.
Graphics are impressive. Character models are some of the nicest ever on xbox (don't let anyone tell you otherwise). Sound helps a lot to immerse you in the battlefield atmosphere.
Fogging and pop-up do happen occasionally but must be expected considering how many characters are on screen at once. However, you won't even notice them because you'll be focused on the action all the time.
Finally, replayability is high on this game because the game-play is so simple and fun. I find myself playing this game every few days even though I've completed it.
Definitely worth buying if only for the replayability value.

Dynasty Warriors 3 is a really superb game. If running around with bladed fans, swords, spears, axes and then taking down large armies with them sounds like fun, this is the game for you! Play as over 40 unique characters (My favourite is Da Qiao) each with their own weapons and special attacks. There is vs mode for 2 player head to head combat, musou mode for a one/two player storyline where you have to defeat bosses and take out large armies, while at the same time gaining points and getting the ultimate 4th weapons. And there are the superb challenge modes where you have to defeat many warriors in a set time. The graphics are superb, the game play is awesome, the soundtrack is amazing, and I seriously recommend getting this game! It is seriously addictive and you won't be able to pull yourself away, and I gurantee it! :)
