3.0 out of 5 stars Mixed Bag 9 May 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I have mixed feelings about this book. On the one hand, I found several parts of it very tense and exciting, and I thought the plot was good. All in all, it would be a 5 star review, if it weren't for the fact that I didn't really care about the characters. Quite what it is that makes you connect with characters is difficult to say, but maybe they could have done with a little more depth. The book is more action-based than character-driven and is great if you're looking for a quick, easy read - but you probably won't remember much about it a month later. Nice to have a UK-based thriller, though.

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely Fantastic 7 May 2012
By clc2910
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
This book is one of those few gems that you accidentally stumble across and cannot put down. From the very start until the last page, it was action packed and managed to keep you wanting to read more.

The plot begins in a remote cabin that has been double booked by two couples who do not know each other. Right from their original encounter the plot travels along so many thrills and different pieces of action you thoroughly believe that you are on the same roller coaster ride.

I will certainly be looking for more books by this author.

Purchase and enjoy, you will not be disappointed.

3.0 out of 5 stars Well Written but Uncaptivating 20 Mar 2013
By asprito
Format:Kindle Edition
When I started reading this book, I found it hard to grasp what was going on, much so I had to repeat what I had read. This I found was the case for the rest of the book.

The writer is aiming to make it as dramatic as possible but the characters were weakly written and I just could not get inside them and so transpires into an average thriller.

Although this is a major flaw the writing was well scribed. It was just a book with no hooks and is basically forgettable.
An average 5\10

I finished this book feeling robbed of my time.

What started as a fairly promising romp descended into schoolboy level characterisations and illogical plot developments. Read more

1.0 out of 5 stars Poor
Badly written. Too unbelievable. Needs element of realism no matter how small. Seemed as if no thought was given to plot and things just developed as the previous chapter finished. Read more
