Book Description

Kidnapped and held prisoner, Morna now has to fight for her life while Gordon becomes ever more mixed up in the criminal underworld.

'A Perfect Excuse' is Part 3 of THE WRONG DELIVERY, a crime drama set in Argyll, Scotland. More About the Author

McDroll lives in Argyll, Scotland which is easily one of the most beautiful places in the world, steeped in history from prehistoric standing stones to Celtic crosses or castles and countless lochs and glens.

She sits at night, laptop on knees and writes about murders...well, what else would she do?

4.0 out of 5 stars Not understood, but enjoyed. 21 Sept. 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I'm working on understanding McDroll. I love the words, I like the structure and - especially - I like the brevity and punch of the story.

Having to work at it simply because I don't know how I am supposed or how I want to feel when I finish.

And perhaps that should be enough to push it from 4 to 5 star. A read that makes you think, aye, perhaps that really is a jolly good read. CW.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Action Continues 11 Jun. 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The action continues with part 3 of McDroll's serialised story. Both Gordon and Morna find themselves in trouble and in danger. Tight prose, great descriptions in an interesting setting. No reason at all not to love this ongoing saga.

5.0 out of 5 stars Things Get Dark in Part 3 5 May 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
Part 3 of McDroll's serialization of her novel, "The Wrong Delivery," takes a turn for the darker side. I won't spoil it, but Morna finds herself in a tough spot. We also learn more about many of the characters' romantic interests. Of course, McDroll sprinkles this with her usual gallows humor.

A note to U.S. readers: I know what you're thinking. You're hesitant to give this series a chance because you won't "get" the Scottish references and humor. Let me reassure you. As a guy in Midwest U.S., I wouldn't have made it to the third part of this series if I didn't "get" it. McDroll is one of the most capable crime authors out there for a reason.

Part 2 - THE WRONG DELIVERY - Braced for Impact
