This book contains many excerpts of Gandhi's letters, speeches, and writings from more than four decades on daily life, cooperation, nonviolence, peace, and faith. With selections and a preface by the award-winning director of the film "Gandhi." I also highly recommend another book containing rare quotations by Mahatma Gandhi titled "Open Your Mind, Open Your Life: A Little Book of Eastern Wisdom" by Taro Gold. Both of these books are filled with great wisdom.

It is like the Book of Proverbs in the Bible. Gandhi's seemingly superhuman insight on virtue is indeed deeply moving. I would recommend this book to anyone who would like to hear many of the words of the wisest.

Tried to get this book whilst in India. It is very inspirational. I would recommend it to people who need inspiration at this current time.
