More About the Author

Thank you for visiting my Amazon page! I'm currently finishing my eighth book, The Millionaire's Wife. It's about the 1990 contract murder of George Kogan on an Upper East Side Manhattan street in broad daylight. Fast-forward nearly 20 years, and Barbara Kogan, George's estranged wife at the time, admitted to hiring a hit man to have her husband gunned down. It's scheduled to be released in October 2011.

In the meantime, check out my other books and also watch for a third edition of The Killing of Tupac Shakur and a second edition of The Murder of Biggie Smalls. Thanks again for stopping by! --Cathy

Only Scott could have written this definitive account of the slaying in Las Vegas. -- Las Vegas Sun

From the Author

This is an urban tragedy
...THE KILLING OF TUPAC SHAKUR is a complicated story about the street murder of a complicated man, poet, rap and film star. The third anniversary of Tupac's death has come and gone, and still his murder remains unsolved. It's a true '90s urban tragedy about a charismatic, talented, misunderstood and misguided young black man. I am grateful to have been given the opportunity to do in-depth research to shed light on the events prior to, during and after September 7, 1996, the night Tupac was shot.

This is probably the best, in depth book writen about the late rapper's murder on 7th September 1996. Not only does this book describe his murder but his life, rivals and friends. One whole chapter is dedicated to The Notorious B.I.G's murder another chapter is dedicated to Suge Knmight's life to. The many motives behind 2pac's murder are in here, the graphic detial and the fight in the casino hours before the murder. A must have for any true 2pac fan.

This book not only covers the murder, but also concentrates on the the events surrounding the death of the best rap artist to ever touch the microphone. The author talks about the life of Tupac Shakur, with a lot of information that even some of the best Tupac fans dont yet know. This book is a must buy for ANY TUPAC FAN. The author discusses the gang wars between East & West, and also covers the Bloods/Crips gang wars, which eventually ended in the death of Tupac. The book has some awesome un-released pictures of Tupac, and pictures taken just minutes before he was fatally shot on las vegas. This book is the best tupac book i have read, and i highly recommend it to even non-tupac fans.

Eventually getting this book i had high hopes for this book and it lived up to my expectations. From reliving the murder to help you get into the picture to finding out about Tupacs history and family this helped me to now what really happened.
Also with a chapter on Biggie's murder you find out how the two murders could be linked .

Makaveli was a god and still is and if you believe this then this is the book to buy. When the book arrived at my door I read it everywhere on the train, bus and even on the toilet. There were so many things that I didn't know about the 'great one' but I am now a master all because of this superb book. OUTLAWZ

When purchasing this book i had high hopes and when i read it i was really suprised. Not only does Cathy Scott go into so much detail about the events that happened before and after the unsolved murder, she goes into detail about the mans life before the fame and glory. I belive this is a really good read but is filled with just names of police officers and other things. I am a really huge Pac fan and have purchased nearly evey book wrote on the king of gangsta rap but i dont rate this as one of the best.

Although the book is inappropriately titled, 'The Killing of Tupac Shakur', as the book's main focus is not of the killing of Tupac, it does provide a lot of facts for Tupac fans. It provides info about Tupac's life and of various peoples' views and oppinions of Tupac's untimely death.
