5.0 out of 5 stars poppy seeds 5 Mar 2010
By Krensal
I would heartily recommend this product; the poppies I grew were (and still are) aesthetically beautiful and fairly easy to grow. Although not all the seeds successfully bloomed/flowered or reached their full potential, a successful poppy will produce approximately 1000 seeds from it's pod and also self-sows. A perennial, the opium poppy - like all other types of poppy - grows vivid and intensely coloured petals.

This review is going to be very simple.
I rate these seeds Zero, the reason? Out of fifty seeds, not one has germinated.
You could argue that I'm doing something wrong, but I'm not. I have purchased many seeds online and had success with all but these. I followed all instructions to the letter, used a propagator with and without lid, different temperatures and different moisture levels but to no avail.
I must also say that the packaging was also not up to scratch. Using polyethylene sealer bags is inappropriate IMO. The seeds had a kind of dusty haze around them in the bag and I'm not sure weather this was mold spores or just detritus that fell off the seeds, I'm betting on the former though due to a total lack of germination.
AVOID, one star given because I had to, I would rate them zero stars.
