This is the first reducing diet that I have followed properly, on the recommendation of a friend who told me I would lose 7lbs in one week.
I only had 10lbs or so to lose and had made sporadic dieting attempts before to no avail and was about to go on holiday so gave it a shot as a last ditch attempt to improve my appearance.
It worked! I lost weight (7lbs) quickly in the first week and although this slowed down in the second week (3lbs) I was delighted, if somewhat mystified, by my success!
This diet really does work if you follow it to the letter and don't cheat - it was unbelievable every day when I stood on the scales - without fail I weighed a pound less each day in the first week. I have now also done the diet a second time to lose a few extra pounds that have crept back (unfortunately I do love good food and wine!) and it has been as successful as the first time.
Try it! You'll be amazed at the results. And I think it's a much healthier diet than the Atkins one, especially if you're worried about your cholesterol level.
