This fan is perfect in many ways: firstly it's very easy to put together and I would say you can have it working in about 10 minutes. Secondly it barely makes a sound so having it running in the background is no disturbance at all unlike other fans which make clanking or whirring noises. Thirdly, it really cools the room down so you don't have to necessarily crank up the power to feel anything; I mostly leave it on the first setting and our living room cools down nicely. I absolutely love this fan and think it's a very worthwhile buy.

Already got 2 of these when high street retailers used to sell them. Major advantage of this is fan compared to others I have tried is the quietness it operates at low and medium speed setting. Make sure you get this size fan and not the smaller one because that one is very noisy due to higher oscillating speed.

It is a very nice fan, quiet and good looking. Much better than fans from Tesco or Argos. Even on high setting, the fan is reasonably quiet. Very easy to put together, instructions are understandable.
