I have left it 6 weeks since i received this chair to write a review, because i was not sure of the quality of the materials used. Unfortunately, my concerns have been proved right!

The chair certainly looks nice and is very comfortable, but on to the main flaws i have found so far:

1. The Faux Leather covering is very poor. It has already split and exposed the foam material beneath on one of the armrests. The chair i owned previously lasted around 3 years before problems of this kind started. I have no hope that the material on the rest of the chair will last anywhere near that time!

2. The armrests are made of PLASTIC which flexes badly when any weight is put on it. These plastic armrests hold the whole chair together. The fact that the plastic also scratches very easily too is probably a minor worry in comparison!

3. When you lean back on the chair it makes a creaking noise and on many occasions also a harsh scraping noise which sounds like metal grinding on metal!

If i have any more problems (which it unfortunately looks like i will) i will update this review at a later date.

So to sum it up, this chair is comfortable and looks nice, but for everyday use it will not stand the test of time!

I'm very disappointed considering the positive reviews on Amazon.co.uk about this product!

PLEASE AMAZON BUYERS - USE THIS CHAIR FOR A FEW MONTHS BEFORE PUTTING UP YOUR REVIEW SO OTHERS CAN GET AN ACCURATE IDEA OF THE QUALITY! THIS IS FAR FROM BEING A FIVE STAR PRODUCT!

Update: One of the Plastic Wheels on the chair has now snapped clean in half and fallen off! Chair is now completely unusable..

I can't argue with the quality of the leather and the comfort. Few things to take into account:

1. If you are the type of person to pull your chair right under you desk, note the high curved arm rests. They will likely not fit under your desk with your elbows resting naturally on the desk.

2. One of the shafts for the screws to fix the top of the left arm rest to the back of the chair - was off axis and so the screw will not go in straight, which means I can't even fix the left arm rest on properly unless I somehow bend the shaft to the correct position.

3. Although I'd consider the ability to recline more of a novelty, it did tip me over the edge when weighing up this chair vs other chairs. However, you cannot 'lock' the recline, you can lock the chair from not reclining at all. Essentially this means you have a professional rocking chair. If you lean back, how can the chair be expected to stay reclined when you legs weigh the front down? Huge design flaw, but again, I guess it is more of a novelty feature than a big selling point.

The last 2 points are the reason for the -1 star.

After spending a few nights researching the vast array of office chairs on Amazon and other brick and mortar stores, finally settled on this chair and another which was £150 which i was able to go and see.
As it was a chair for my 14yr old son for his computer desk i settled on this one ordered Monday at 8pm, only then found out then that the company is in Germany and delivery was slated between the 8th-27th,Post Christmas:( but not to worry delivered Thursday 3 days later am so very happy
Pros:
Better quality that expected on a par with the £150 at staples
PU leather is well stitched so wont come apart
cushions plush and look very comfortable
easy to put together Allen key included
came well packaged
for the money you cannot go wrong

Cons:
Arms and legs are silver coloured plastic not metal but very sturdy thick plastic
If you "ate all the pies" i would be worried about the longevity of the gas ram

I bought this chair in January. The chair arrived in a fast efficient manner, was easy to put together, and looked good and filled the role.

It has a nice head rest, the tilt action on it works well. All round I was pleased with my purchase.

After a few months, the material started to stretch and split. Particularly around the back. While not overly pleased by this, it didnt detract too much and i accepted it as wear and tear from regular use in the office.
Then I last week I found a oily piece of metal on the floor, couldn't quite figure out where it came from and didnt think much more about it.

Then today I noticed the chair had a definite wiggle from side to side, and discovered a broken coupling on the bottom, missing a piece of the metal frame (The piece I'd found previously)

Combined with the other issues mentioned, it seems to me this chairs only really good for light usage, as the build quality will not stand regular use as its of a reasonably poor quality.
Admittedly I got 6 months out of the chair, but I'd still expect better, hopefully my experience is a unique one.

I bought this chair based purely on its good reviews on Amazon.
I'm very disappointed.

Firstly, it's almost an entirely plastic chair, which is probably why it is fairly cheap.
Even the metal-looking legs and arms are made of plastic.
This isn't much of a problem, but don't expect high quality metal legs and arms.

I don't like arms on chairs, and I had assumed that they were optional. They are NOT optional, but MUST be fixed onto the chair.
It is necessary to attach the arms of the chair because they hold the chair together.
(The arms are used to attach the back of the chair to the seat and base.)

The chair does not tip back far, and the chair back does not tip back independently.
It is possible to tip the chair backwards, but the whole chair (the back and the seat) tip back together: It is not possible to tip the chair without the seat tipping back.
The tipping mechanism is spring-loaded, and cannot be fixed in a tipped position (it can be fixed only in an upright position), so when you take your feet off the floor, the chair springs back upwards.
It doesn't tip back far at all, and not far enough for my own needs.
So the tipping mechanism only really gives a bit springiness to the chair, and there isn't much of a recline setting. Not as much as I wanted, anyway.

I do not find the back of the chair comfortable for my back, or neck. It seemed to be the wrong shape for my own back. (I am six feet tall.)

The seat does not seem to be padded enough, but is thin and uncomfortable.

It's quite a large chair. Larger than I thought it would be, judging from the photos on Amazon.

The chair had a strong odour of plastic that made my room stink, and made me feel queasy.
