I purchased this audio CD recorder as a replacement for my Pioneer which stopped working. This machine makes very good copies and is easy to use once you have read the instructions. It is a very good playback machine as well, unlike the pioneer which made good copies, but playback was not very good. The only thing I don't like is the remote control on which the buttons sometimes stick down when selected thus stopping the remote from working until the offending button has been released. Apart from the remote control, I still think this CD Recorder warrants 5 stars and also a pat on the back for Teac for putting this machine on the market when a lot of other manufacturers are no longer producing them.

Vwery pleased with the purchase of the Teac CDR W890. In particular like the analogue L-R inputs which I do make use of quite alot. Other more expensive models no longer include this feature so was pleased when I discovered this model.
Only expierience of Teac in the past is an amp I purchased 10 years ago which I still use so I'm hoping to get just as much usage out of the cd recorder.

GREAT MACHINE 3 Dec 2011
By barry g
I HAD OVER 400 CASSETTES OF RECORDINGS OF RADIO CAROLINE FROM 1973 T0 PRESENT AND WANTED TO PUT THEM ON CD AS SOME OF THE TAPES WERE SHOWING THEIR AGE AND THE FACT CASSETTE DECKS ARE GETTING HARD TO GET.I HAVE HAD THE CD RECORDER NOW THREE MONTHS AND SO FAR RECORDED ABOUT THREE HUNDRED TAPES.THE QUALITY IS GOOD AND IS VERY EASY TO OPERATE.I HAVE USED PHILLIPS,TDK,MEMOREX CDS AND ALL WORK WELL.NOTE! YOU MUST USE AUDIO CDRS.ONES FOR COMPUTERS WILL NOT WORK.AS MENTIONED ABOVE IT HAS DIGITAL AND ANALOGUE INPUTS,SO FAR I HAVE ONLY USED THE ANALOGUE INPUTS.GREAT ITEM.
