Ideal for general purpose recording, a single TDK DVD+R has ample capacity for thousands of digital photos, up to six hours of video and large mission-critical data files. Each DVD+R disc can be fully recorded once.
As DVD recording speeds have increased, the importance of using name brand, quality media has become paramount. When a DVD+R is recorded at high speeds, the fast RPMs of the recording process require an advanced, ultra-sensitive recording material capable of compensating for the abbreviated exposure to the drive laser. Specially formulated with a rapid phase-change recording layer, TDK DVD+R media maximizes the data transfer rate while minimizing the potential for errors. These discs have been really good to me. Out of almost 100, not a single one has failed to burn on my Lite-On DVD recorder . The only minor gripe is that you cant handwrite your titles on the discs but hey you can stick them in a plastic wallet or DVD case instead. No problem. Its better than buying cheaper lesser known blank DVDs half of which turn out to be coasters.

I bought a set of these to copy films, tv programmes etc that I had recorded on my Toshiba RDXV48 - 160Gb Hard Drive DVD Recorder & VHS Combi With Freeview and so far I have not had any coasters. The copy quality is good and the top can be written on using a proper DVD pen.

Good value DVDs
The discs arrived promptly and were well packaged. I have used a few so far for DVDS - and whilst I'm no techno expert, they seem fine to me!

Does the job
Good value product. CDs have only 700 MB recording but DVDs have much larger capacity. This DVD records up to 4.7 GB and so provides more flexibility.

Recomended budget dvd

Strangely variable
The first 15 to come out of the box burnt perfectly, with no problems burning, verifying the data, or accessing it afterwards.
