This review relates to the latest TDK Audio discs.
Packaging average, nicely polished playing surface the best at resisting scratches of discs I've tried.
Good accurate sound on recordings though bass slam and weight is a bit curtailed.

Ok so I've just received a 10 tub cake of these and guess what the green backed polished recording surface has been replaced with a silver surface not as highly polished. Soundwise they have a slight increase in bass weight over the original. I'm still investigating with TDK if the formulation has changed. Tub bought from Ebay.

I use these exclusively in my domestic CDR machine, which requires the use of CDR's that are marked as 'for consumer'. Unfortunately the marketplace and availability of these disks is becoming increasingly limited, so from a small market i find the TDK discs the best of the bunch. I have probably burned my way through 50 + discs over the years, and I have only had one disc fail and produce an error during recording which is pretty good success rate, especially when compared to rival products from Traxdata and Verbatim.

However I had an issue with the amazon marketplace dealer who supplied these to me. I ordered 3 x five packs of these discs and didn't receive the CDRXG but the cheaper equivalent TDK item. Also depsite all 15 discs being sent in the same flimsy delivery parcel i was charged postage as though the 5 packs had been sent seperately in 3 individual deliveries, which made the price of the discs very expensive. I haven't marked the product down because of this though as the product is excellent. The lesson I learned was to check the small print when ordering from external market place dealers through Amazon.
