5.0 out of 5 stars Weird but Wonderful! 6 May 2008
When i first looked at this deck i didn't think i was going to like it at all, but after a few shuffles and practice readings, how wrong i was! The cards range from cute and lovely to plain bizarre and even scary! (Death, for instance looks like a menacing tramp, whilst the Queen of Swords has the head of some conquered foe on her lap!) Some of the images seem to divert somewhat from regular tarot meanings though i've not found this to be too much of a problem since i can usually see some symbolic link in the card somewhere. For example, the 2 of cups shows a nude young lady swimming alone, which seems a bit out of keeping with the usual meaning of love and harmony between two people ascribed to this card. Perhaps this lady is in complete love and harmony with her surroundings though, which occured to me whilst i was contemplating the image this evening! Another card which seems a bit strange is the Chariot, which shows a cart pulled by a white rabbit which we see from behind. There is a young lady, carelessly dressed, with a daisy-chain in her hair sitting with her legs dangling from the back. The driver is looking over his shoulder with a bit of a lascivious grin on his face. The message of the card seems to be "don't be pre-occupied with what is behind you - keep your eyes on the road ahead in order to make safe and sure progress!"

A lot of the cards are like this - what at first glance is a strange and bewildering image seems to get into your head and speak volumes if you let it! The cards have a lot of rich detail in them of trees, flowers, berries etc, and since using them i have indeed begun to feel a greater connection to the hidden beauty and spiritual energies in nature.
