Arguably Inhaler sits just below 8 Way Santa and Salt LIck in the Tad portfolio, but I'm not so sure.

First and foremost if you don't know who Tad were, then you are missing out. They arrived at the same time as Nirvana, SOundgarden and Mudhoney, but out heavied the lot of them with a very earthy sound, founded in the back woods of Washington state.

With this, their fourth album, they polished their sound in some ways and grew even heavier in others. Tad Doyles songwriting became more varied and his delivery developed a sensitivity to sit alongside that terrifying drawl that made Tad's music sound that little bit more brutal than their lable mates.

Sadly this, their major label debut also proved to be their downfall, which is completely baffling as it is a stonewall classic. Note I am not giving a track by track guide here, I am advocating buying the entire album as to split this beast up would be an art crime.

Do not hesitate, buy this, turn your volume up from loud to san andreas fault will split and you will find a new aural nirvana, courtesy of the mightiest of the mighty, Tad.

awesome band from an awesome time. I love Tad. They were always in my top 5 grunge bands to come out of Seattle but never made it big for some reason? Despite being one of the original sub pop bands on the now legendary Deep Six EP that also included the likes of Soundgarden and Mudhoney, this band, headed by Tad Doyle simply rocks. Crunching riffs reminisicnent of early Helmet with a punk energy that a lot of the grunge bands had. Should have been bigger. You can probably blame Mtv for that.

Consistently brilliant throughout. Even the picture on the sleeve is great! Considered by critics to be their best album. I prefer 8-Way Santa only because it came out first and I heard the songs played live. The song "Lycanthrope" is especially killer. Buy it, and be so hip it hurts!!
