Book Description

In the previous work we learned that Preston finally got a chance to see his son Ishmael and that Emmanuel was, in fact, his son as well. Preston initially intended to be involved with both sons, but Lustray was having no part in that. The last thing that she wanted to see was Delight with a smile on her face with Preston and her kids!

Lustray has two other fathers that she has to deal with besides Preston, and in the previous book Preston had begun communicating with both of them about the dealings of their children. Larry Johnson was a former player on the Ohio State basketball team who had become a professing Christian and hadn’t seen his daughter in over half a decade. The other father, Devon Wade, contacted Preston on Facebook after learning that Lustray was involved in a physical relationship with another married man…her “friend” Brian! Devon apparently was fed up that whenever he got his daughter on the weekends, she would complain that she couldn’t sleep at Lustray’s because her mother and Brian made too much noise at night.

Preston already had started the paperwork to see his children, but ran into a roadblock during his trial. The judge would not let him add the youngest child to the case, because Lustray had already moved out of the current county. Preston intended to have all the fathers file in court at the same time to break her down without going through the entire court process, which could take years. Unfortunately, not everyone is as determined as Preston Brown, so Preston reverted back to what got him to where he is now...God and God alone.

Now Preston finally has a trial date set that Lustray must attend or she risks losing her children in the blink of an eye. In this case she has no choice but to show up.

As we approach The Preston Brown Chronicles in their present state, we will soon find out how difficult the forming of a new family is for Preston and Delight. Lustray doesn’t stop her old tricks and Preston gets surprise after surprise once he starts to see Ishmael regularly—everything from scantily clad dressing to old love cards that Lustray has saved years after the relationship. But Preston is wiser and definitely stronger than his former days and puts on in full display the man of God that he truly is. As Lustray learns of his continued successes, she goes even further to try to ruin his family—along with his career and reputation—at any cost.

4.0 out of 5 stars Dragging!!!! 17 July 2013

I couldn't give it 5 stars and I have read all 6 books. I enjoyed the first 3 books but since then the author seems to be dragging the finale yet I want to see the end resort. I hope the next installment will be soon and finished after the court date about Emmanuel by making the book longer especially if he wants to charge 4.99 for a few pages. I enjoyed the story line but it's time to bring it to an end. Will I purchase the next book....yes but will hesitate to purchase many more. I suggest .99 if there are many more short stories. Thanks for allowing my opinions.

4.0 out of 5 stars Time for the Finale 15 Oct. 2013

I've enjoyed the Preston series but is has taken way to long to get to the end. Book #6 should bring it own home.I also agree with the previous comment, $4.99 was a bit much for such a short story. I'm all for paying for a good book. I really thought this one was going to complete it.
