"It's a Long Way to the Top" was the anthem that put AC/DC on the map, it's lyrics a timeless essay warning of the perils of risking it in the music business. You can trust Bon Scott, he really means every word of this classic song.
"Rock 'n' Roll Singer", "High Voltage" and "Rocker" see Bon laying it on the line. This is who I am, this is what I do. Spelling it out for us, that he, and the rest of the band were born to rock. "Rocker" redefines the word "frenetic".
"The Jack" tells it how it is... A slow, tough blues/boogie that says "I screw around, I'm a dirty guy, I screwed a dirty girl and I paid the price".
"Live Wire" and "T.N.T." might sound like chest-beating and posturing, lyrically, but these riffs are so damn tough, the music so brutal and heavy, the tunes deserve to sound as dangerous and threatening as Bon's lyrics make them.
"Can I Sit Next to You Girl" and "School Days" connect AC/DC with their past. Their influences, and their youth, and with the teenagers that grew to be a mighty army of supporters.
