After using a few month 2 stars

used this for a few months now & have to update my review - original review is below.

the phone freezes way too often. texting is not too easy unless you download a big button keyboard. making calls sometimes is a problem & the phone freezes.
reception is not wonderful at times but i guess that might be more to do with t mobile..
the menus at times are not that user friendly either.
battery is poor - if you use any apps during the day they will drain the battery even if you have the back light turned down really low.
apps often cut out when using them & the phone restarts - ie i use runkeeper (great app) & i have lost more activities through restarts than i have saved.

my daughter having seen the many probs i have had loving the android market choose a samsung which has been way more reliable.

writing all this down maybe i am being generous saying 2 1/2 stars.
would not buy again

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

First time with smartphone & its great. Looked small in T Mobile shop but in your hand & using it its good. Screen seems fairly responsive & does the job. LOVE the android. So much flexibility & huge amount of free aps. Found some wonderful ones! One gripe is the keyboard which is just too tiny for any one with normal sized fingers but search on free aps & you'll find a great bigger one.

My 18 daughter hated this when she saw it in the shop but having worked with mine & played with the android market she thought it was incredible value & is going to get one for herself when her contract runs out.

The calender syns with the one on google so easy even for someone like me.

4.0 out of 5 stars Amazing Value for Money 11 Nov 2010
By jp
Pros:
-anroid 2.1 - and all the pros that comes with this

--same connections as much more expensive phone (wifi - 3g - gps etc)

-3.5mm headphone jack - important for me - no ownbrand headphones...

-small size

-value for money...ridiculous price for a true smart phone.

CONS:
-slightly plasticy feel

-can lag slightly if you dont kill applications occasionally (recommend advanced task killer app - FREE)

-resistive screen isnt as good as htc/iphone capacitive but what do you expect for 60 quid.

OVERALL:
Yes this phone has its bad points - slightly cheap feel etc but you get a smartphone that can do all the same stuff as a 200pound HTC Wildfire just occasionally not quite as slick. If you want a smartphone but dont want to pay for one, get this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Worth so much more than the price tag suggests 8 Jun 2010
By Fraser
Well, I used to have a Nokia 1600 Silver - Xpress-on Covers - Colour Display - Speaking Alarm & Clock - Sim Free, and decided it was time to get a (preferably cheap) smart phone. I was looking at either the Samsung B5310 Corby PRO Red Sim Free Unlocked Mobile Phone or Nokia 5800 XpressMusic 3G (Blue) Unlocked. However, I'd obviously heard of Android (but couldn't find a phone which I liked the look of, ran it, and was cheap). Then I heard about the T-mobile Pulse Mini, and since I was with T-mobile previously, and the phone looked pretty good, and I liked Android, I went for it.

Now there's plenty of information out there about the Android OS, so I'll try not to go into too much detail here. I love the way it syncs with my Google Account, which allows for easy editing of contacts/calender etc online. The onscreen keyboard is very nice, although I use the touchpal one (which comes with the phone) rather than the Android one. It makes up for mistakes you make when typing, suggests the next word, and allows for QWERTY or the "old" phone keypad with numbers, or a "in-between". Couple of things which annoy me about it, it's very difficult to set a CUSTOM notification tone, although setting up a custom ringtone was very easy. Also if you make a text message longer than 3 message, it converts it to a multimedia message, which most of the people I text can't open.

2.0 out of 5 stars You get what you pay for 3 Jan 2012
I bought this phone to replace a HTC wildfire that I broke. I wanted a quick and cheap fix and, being used to Android I wanted to stick with it.
This mobile does all the things that you would want an Android phone to do although bear in mind that is it is not a recent version of Android and you can't upgrade it. It's not an issue unless you want the newest of everything.
For a phone this cheap you can't really complain. It is cheaply built and seems slightly flimsy, the charging connector isn't the best quality and the camera is poor, but these are things you would expect from a mobile of this price.
However it has a few bigger faults:
Firstly the battery is terrible, even for a smart phone. Mine will drain in under 12 hours just sitting idle. Having any apps on it drains the power really fast.
Secondly the response of the touch screen is poor. It is slow to do anything and texting is painfully slow. It often freezes as well. If you like texting or emailing from your mobile I would say avoid this phone. It also doesn't download all of my emails. Although I can't work out why as it appears to be random. I think this might have something to do with it freezing. It seems to just stop working at times. It is supposed to receive emails straight away, but every now and again it just jumps into life, usually when I go to use it, and I receive loads of emails and messages at once.
Lastly, the stylus folds into the back of the phone, which is neat, to use it you take it out and extend it, like a radio ariel. However, it is not strong enough to stay extended and as soon as you type it collapses again. This means holding the stylus in an odd way in order to stop it folding up. It's a little niggle, but it irritates me.
