Many men like me who were grown without guidance and learned or still learning of what it means to be a man, have been on a path that felt like they was dropped off the side of a cliff, taken deep wounds from the jagged rocks and hit the rock bottom of manhood. Some deformed or carrying open wounds set off their journey through manhood, just like me. This book gave me the emotional and spiritual skills and abilities to rest, acknowledge that I was wounded and needed to heal myself mentally and spiritually. The powerful words within this book allowed me to walk their after as a Christian man of valor with my back straight and head high living as a man from my head and heart, I'm 23 years old born 19-04-86 and it work for me just as it did the 54 year old that recommended it who was also truthfully open with himself, because men are the same creatures whatever his age or past experiences. How can people be deceived by this man and others. The first big give away, that it is not a good book to buy, is the size of the authors name. The fact that the authors photo is just like the rest of the "Big Televangelists", who use God as a product to sell, is another. All i can say is don't. He and the rest of them are in so much trouble. Find someone decent to read like Charles H. spurgeon, John Owen or Jonathan Edwards, or for some more recent see David Wilkerson, Paul washer or Leonard Ravenhill. Don't stray from the Holy Bible, Keep close to it and live it like it should be lived, not like T.D.Jakes.

Great Book

I bought this book for my brother who is in prison. He received it and within a matter of days he finished it. He said that this book was such a inspiration to him. He has started sharing it with some of his inmates. They were all very excited once he finished it. This is a must read for all men.

Just what a man needs

I'm not finished with the boook yet but I found this book has openend me up to some of the gaps in my development as a man and helped me to fill them . i would reccommend this to any man young or old. I have bought a copy for one of my younger brothers in christ and will be recommending on to my father.

I've only read books from TDjakes written for women. I've loved them all. Well, I gave this one to my guy, my son and my nephew. So far, only rave reviews. Thanks TD for such great insight. I should say "Thanks to God" for giving him that insight.
