Wow, I first heard of these guys through a friend in America. I first thought they'd sound like any nu metal band you care to mention. They couldn't be further from nu-metal. There is far more to Crossbreed than 'I hate everyone'.
Their sound is synth heavy, riff laden industrial metal. They best way to describe them would be like a more electronic Static X.
Stand out tracks, for me, are:
Release me - a storming, bouncy, huge sounding stonker of a track. The chorus could knock down buildings it's so huge. It chorus kinda sounds similar to Somebody Someone off Korn's 'issues' album
Machines - A trippy synth intro turns a monster of a track. Yet more killer riffs and a pounding beat make this my fav track. Like Rammstein? Love this.
Severed - A bile filleds, pounding, potential single.
There are no real duff tracks here. The only track that doesn't really fit is, bizarrely, their first single, 'Underlined'. It seems more suited to Filter than these lot.
Overall, a cracking album that will have you bouncing up and down til you pass out. It did me.
