Product Description

Amazon.co.uk Review

With songs that fall exactly in between early Michael Jackson and Taste of Honey, Jamiroquai's Synkronized is a funk-disco inferno that is distinguished from its 1970s counterparts only by its 1990s production. It contains all the same ingredients: wah-wah guitar, electric piano, soft-sided strings oozing out melody, pot-bellied bass and a blasted-out horn section that evokes images of three guys stepping in sync while their sequined flairs swipe over white patent-leather loafers. While the funk is steamy enough to flatten the tallest 'fro, Jay Kay's impeccable ability to emulate Stevie Wonder's vocals brings on the cool side. But the album isn't all about a time warp. Just when you think Jamiroquai aren't going to step a toe beyond 1978, "Supersonic", the seventh track, throws down an acid-house riff that works in didgeridoo and a synthed-out cowbell. "Where Do We Go from Here" rocks with a leapfrogging blues piano and tangy bongos. The album's grand finale, "King for a Day", is a regal rock-operatic excursion embellished with fully orchestrated piano and strings. Overall, this Jamiroquai jamfest is an irreplaceable summer-in-the-city album.--Beth Massa

This was one of these albums that you look at for ages but never get round to buying. Well thank god I finally got around to it!! This is another masterpiece by the British funk master himself. With some quality tunes that have proved successful in the charts and the usual Jamiroquai strange but relaxing non-released songs using instruments from all over the world this diverse album is the most listened to CD in my collection. Buy it now, you will not be dissappointed!!!

People of the Jamiroquai-loving society seem to bash this album as too 'poppy', and blame this on the leaving of Stuart Zender. A tragedy, but not to blame for an evolution is style. This is a brilliant album, not unlike the previous ones, but not carbon copies of old things tried. Jamiroquai is a train, and we're all moving to the front carriage, moving from one class to another. This is one carriage you don't want to miss.

great cd for 99 19 Jan 2012

I realy like all the Jamiroquai cds so it can be hard to pick a favourite.
This has a classic song by the band called "canned heat". It is the song that got me in to the band when i heard it around about 2000. I remember buying the single and putting it on repeat.
The track "butterfly" is a very cool track, one of my faves, so funky. the bass is awesome.
WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE is also one of my faves, the piano is realy nice and the part from 3.29 -3.50 is pretty ace where its just the instrumental and there jamming.
this record/cd is worth buying definitely worth buying at this price(at the moment). it's fun to listen too and never gets boring. Jay Kay is a good singer too.........
buy it!!!
