Sychronised Swimmers

This is for me a really enjoyable piece of 21st century pop. Two absolute stand out tracks; Action Man and Vampires sit between a very strong collection of lovingly prepared, lush, heart-warming and intelligently constructed acoustic tunes. Hafdis has an extraordinary d enticing voice, which is both crystal clear and extremely affecting. I listened to her on Radcliffe & Marconie's radio 2 show this summer where she sang a very beguiling live set where she charmed and entertained listeners effortlessly. Her sense of humour was infectious and it made for fantastic radio. If there's any justice, she should be a massive star, but before the world catches up, listen to this album and let this woman melt your heart

4.0 out of 5 stars Quirky, but nice, 11 Mar 2011

This is a great album.

A bit quirky (she's from Iceland, after all) and a bit brilliant.

'Vampires' is worth the admission price alone, and is a wonderfully understated goth/emo/steampunk/outsider anthem.

Buy!

And then buy anything by 'The Mummers'.
